Armed Forces Day

 

The Historical Society of Palm Beach County honors U.S. troops annually with a free family event in celebration of Armed Forces Day. Visitors to the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum will be entertained and informed during a colorful commemoration of our nation’s military history and Palm Beach County’s veterans. Displays and presentations will share the county’s role in American war efforts and local battles fought on native soil.

NEW THIS YEAR:
Touch – a – truck Military Edition: Climb in and explore various military vehicles and equipment.

Visit with various veteran organizations including the Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, @Palm Beach County Veterans Court, and others.

Ongoing tours of “Shipwreck: Discovering Lost Treasures” and “Picturing Nam: U.S. Military Photography of the Vietnam War”

SCHEDULE:
10:00 am – 1:00 pm: Museum Galleries open on 2nd and 3rd floors, crafts for kids, vehicles, and more
inside and on the west lawn of the 1916 Courthouse

10:30 am: Opening Ceremony | Pledge of Allegiance and Color Guard Presentation
This event is free and open to the public. Free parking is provided in the 4th street lot across for the fire station.
