Scarecrow Festival & Contest
SAVE THE DATE! The Scarecrow Contest is back for the 10th year! Join us for family fun celebrating the history of agriculture in Palm Beach County at the Annual Harvest Festival and Scarecrow Contest.
Featuring live music, arts and crafts, agricultural displays, and more, this afternoon event kicks off the season at the Johnson History Museum.
The Scarecrow Contest is open to everyone! Schools, art clubs, scout troops, families, and local businesses will compete for cash prizes by building a life-size scarecrow. Download your entry form and start building!

Armed Forces Day
The Historical Society of Palm Beach County honors U.S. troops annually with a free family event in celebration of Armed Forces Day. Visitors to the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum will be entertained and informed during a colorful commemoration of our nation’s military history and Palm Beach County’s veterans. Displays and presentations will share the county’s role in American war efforts and local battles fought on native soil.
This event is free and open to the public. Free parking is provided in the 4th street lot across for the fire station.
